The CogNews RSS Feed

What is RSS?

Introduction
Rich Site Summary (RSS) is a XML format for sharing headlines and other web content with other users and websites. One of the best places for RSS is to use an RSS reader to read your news every morning. Many popular news sites, such as the BBC and New York Times, have RSS news feeds. When you put all your favorite sites into an RSS reader you can quickly look at all the latest headlines and summaries of the latest news. RSS also allows news sites to share news with each other.

For more on RSS, read Bringing the World to Your Desktop.

RSS Readers
RSS readers allow you to gather up all the latest news and happenings from your favorite sites and read them in one convenient place. Amphetadesk, Active Refresh and FeedReader seem to be popular. For a list of RSS Readers, try one of these links:

Putting an RSS Feed in Your Webpage
There are a number of different ways to display an RSS feed from another site on your own website, although it typically requires adding some PHP or Perl scripting. Some programs include:
Feed On Feeds
Magpie
Apache's RSS Digester
Fetch

If you're trying to put a news feed from CogNews onto your webpage, you should consider using the pre-made CogNews Headlines or CogNews News Feed, which don't require any hard work -- just cut and paste the HTML into your webpage and you're done.
